Phoenix Mountain retreats are where the work is transmitted in full context—through environment, time, and direct experience.

We gather in quiet, carefully chosen locations to remove noise and compression. What remains is attention: grounded in the body, distributed through pressure, and stabilized through awareness. Training is precise and personal, guided by direct observation rather than explanation.

What settles here is not temporary.
It continues to operate when you return home.

Establishing the Field

Westlake is the original ground of this work.

Here, you build what cannot be shaken.

Through refined internal training, your structure becomes clear, stable, and quietly powerful. Effort softens.

Movement simplifies. Presence deepens.

You learn to stand in your own field — uncollapsed, unforced, unmistakably yourself.

Authenticity is not performance.
It is integrity you can feel.

Create the foundation that everything else grows from.

The crossing into relational practice.

At The Beckoning Path, your work meets another.

Power becomes shared. Listening becomes physical. Contact becomes clarity.

You learn to remain centered while entering relationship — in martial practice, in healing, in life. Strength no longer isolates. Sensitivity no longer overwhelms.

Union is not losing yourself.
It is meeting without collapse.

Here, internal power becomes connection.

Integration

Stillpoint is where everything becomes simple.

The movements grow smaller. The awareness grows wider. What once required effort now unfolds naturally.

You settle into a depth that does not waver.
Time feels spacious. Power feels quiet.

Limitlessness is not reaching outward. It is discovering there was no edge to begin with.

This retreat is about living from that knowing.

Welcome

A message from the Instructor, from the first inaugural retreat.

What Happens at a Phoenix Mountain Retreat

  • Location - We gather in quiet, beautiful locations to remove noise—physical, mental, and social.

  • Transmission - Training is precise, personal, and rooted in felt experience rather than explanation.

  • Aftereffect - What changes here continues to operate when you return home.

What These Retreats Are
(and Are Not)

These retreats are for you if:

  • You value felt internal change over conceptual understanding

  • You are drawn to depth, precision, and quiet rigor

  • You want practice that continues to function beyond the retreat

  • You are willing to slow down to become exact

These retreats are not:

  • Fitness events or performance workshops

  • Certification programs

  • Spectacles or intensives designed to overwhelm

  • Experiences meant to be consumed and left behind

Practical Clarity

  • Group size are intentionally small and cropped

  • Training and rest are held in equal regard

  • Instruction is personal and observation-based

Retreats are the heart of Phoenix Mountain. They are not prerequisites for our courses— but they clarify everything.
